Week 1 - First draft

Inspiration was surprisingly fast for me. I used the above-ground form based on Bourgeois' adjective (UNNERVING) and the below-ground form based on Stelarc's adjective (INDUSTRIAL) in the first pair of drawings I scanned in the previous blog post.

Overall perspective

Top view. The above-ground structure is inspired by an eggshell - the compromised structure adds to a sense of foreboding danger, as if the whole structure is about to collapse

Bottom view. The below-ground structure is a basic rounded glass cube surrounded by piping and utilities, whereby visitors can actually see the overall infrastructure and interact with some outlets (e.g. a computer screen coming out of an internet utility pipe)

The entire structure is large, both above and below-ground structures having more than 800 cubic meters of volumetric space. A visitor would enter the structure through cracks in the "eggshell" and be able to leave through larger pipes leading out of the "glass cube" below ground.
